R.R. HODGES CHAPEL AND FINE ARTS CENTER

The R.R. Hodges Chapel and Fine Arts Center was named for the father of a founding trustee, and is quite possibly the most iconic building on MVNU’s campus.

First floor:
  • R.R. Hodges Chapel Auditorium
  • Thorne Performance Hall
  • Nease Rehearsal Hall
Second floor:
  • Music offices
  • Musical practice rooms
  • Classrooms
  • Individual practice rooms for student use

The R.R. Hodges Chapel Auditorium seats over 1,800 and is equipped with state-of-the-art sound and presentation equipment along with a 3-manual, 50-rank pipe organ. More importantly, it is where the student body meets three times a week to grow spiritually and worship together. It is in this room that 51³ÉÈËstudents, staff, faculty, and administration go from strangers to community to family.

The Thorne Performance Hall is a staple of student life. This is fully equipped performance hall is where students gather to watch their peers and friends perform in plays, recitals, and MVNU’s student-written sketch-comedy performance, Friday Night Live.
